Sheepskin in the Nursery

Sheepskin in the Nursery on Lost & Fawned

Now that the shower is done (more on that soon!) and we are in our third trimester, it’s really time to start prepping the house for the boys to show up.  The nursery is almost ready.  The furniture is all in place, I have almost finished curating the art and I’ve been piling up pillows and blankets on the rocker and bed to make it an extra cozy space to nurse and bond with our babies.

One of those cozy touches is an amazing sheepskin from Sheepskin Town.  While it is a little pricier than other budget skins I’ve purchased, it’s super plush and very dense.   It’s perfect for throwing over the rocker or on the bed to add an extra layer of cushion (which feels amazing on my achy back right now).  We plan to use it for supervised play gym time as well when the babes get a little bigger.  It’s the perfect size and the ivory color is classic and easy to mix in with any decor.

Quick note:  Of course those pillows and the skin are purely being stored in the crib right now.  When the babies transition to their crib, we are following the AAP safe sleep guidelines, which includes no blankets, pillows or crib bumpers while the babies are in their cribs.

Adding an extra layer of texture to your nursery is a great way of warming up the space and making it your own.  Just like mixing art mediums creates a great gallery wall, mixing pillows and blankets in a wide range of fabrics and patterns makes a bed feel luxe and welcoming.

I was provided with sample product from Sheepskin Town to facilitate this post.  I was given no other compensation and will receive no compensation on sales generated by the post.  All opinions expressed are my own and I only back products I truly love in reviews on Lost & Fawned.
