Lost & Fawned

I have been slacking a little.  I have to go in for a little outpatient procedure today, and it’s been looming over me all week.  It’s not a big deal, but it’s not pleasant either.  I’m just looking forward to getting it over with and lounging around all weekend.

Otherwise, things are going well.  Jared and I are reworking our home to-do list spread sheet.  Now that we have been in the house for well over a year and a half, our priorities have drastically changed.  We have tackled the biggest project to date this summer (our exterior renovation), which was unexpected and sucked up a lot of cash we had been saving for other projects.  My parents are coming to stay with us for the new year and I would love to re-work the guestroom a little bit and make the bathroom (our home’s big blemish) a little more cozy.  More on that later.

The garden is going into hibernation.  I think today’s lavender harvest was the very last, and I’m holding out hope I can get these last couple of rose buds to open before it gets too frosty outside.  I’m pretty proud of my little lavender plants.  I think I’ll have a hefty bag of dried lavender buds for some winter crafting.

My etsy shop… oh my poor neglected etsy shop.  I’m thinking of giving it a break this winter and focusing my creative efforts elsewhere for awhile.  I miss the days when it was easy to get noticed on etsy.  I need some time to rethink my plan a little.  It’s hard to let go of the community though.

Time to find some cozy clothes and a good book.  Have a lovely autumn weekend!
