Modern Comfort in Kids Rooms

There is a fine line between modern and cold, and the last thing you want to describe a kid’s room as is “cold”.  There are a few ways I use to create a cozy but still contemporary room.  One way is to artfully mix vintage with modern pieces.  Make sure to also mix in soft and lush textures like handmade pillows or patterned rugs and sheets.  Think outside the typical blue and pink box for the wall colors as well.  A warm grey or buttery yellow, like the rooms above make a great canvas for the rest of the room.
