We had a lovely long weekend. Spent Saturday with Jared’s family. Sunday was with one half of my family (we fly out to Portland to see the other half in a month). Good food and good company both days. Today we locked ourselves inside to recover and relax. Jared received a new coat from me and he gave me a Roku player so I can watch Mad Men in bed now. Logan got new frisbees from Jared, and between that excitement and getting into my chocolate covered pretzels, he promptly made himself sick. Everything else we gave each other was very practical (tooth brushes, chapstick, chai tea, gloves, etc.).
unfortunately, Ohio graced us with a brown Christmas. No snow, just 40 degree weather and rain. Didn’t really feel like the holidays, but I’m sure once the snow settles in we’ll be in for a nice long winter.
Back to work tomorrow. Next weekend is New Years, but I doubt we’ll venture out. We’ll likely cook together and sip warm chai over a movie. Happy holiday everyone! Hope it was warm and merry.
