Mixing men’s pieces into my wardrobe is one of my favorite ways to get cozy in fall. Paired with a super girly scarf and some fitted jeans to balance my oversized semi-DIY monogrammed sweatshirt, it’s a great outfit to run around town in autumn weather.
Looking for a way to update your basics this autumn? Add a little luxe to simple sweatshirts, cardigans and sweaters this fall by having them monogrammed! I was inspired by a beautiful gray cashmere sweater in JCrew‘s most recent catalog. A pop of trendy orange took this simple unisex Canvas sweatshirt (a brand available at most embroidery shops) to the next level.
And it’s not as expensive or difficult as you may think. Take a stack of tops to your local embroidery shop (don’t just bring one, it’s easier for the embroiderer to do more than one once the machine is set up. Make it worth their time!) and get a quote. Most shops charge by the stitch. Choose bold hues for a pop of color or go tone on tone for a subtle, sophisticated look. Take a peek through the catalogs at the shop too. You can find great deals on basics.
Stay tuned to see how I wore this sweatshirt today to run errands.
