I’m happy to report our little garden seems to be thriving, some things more than others. It’s certainly been a season of trial and error and lots of reading. I’ve lost some seedlings and others are growing at an unbelievable rate. Our salad greens are growing faster than we can keep up with. Our strawberries are getting better with every berry. Our beans and peas are just now starting to look healthy and strong. It’s difficult to tell how our onions and garlic our doing, but judging by the size and color of the shoots above ground I would guess they are doing quite well. Our rainbow carrots are starting to look like carrots. Our corn is so-so. I’m not really sure how well it’s doing since I have never grown corn before. Our broccoli and rhubarb are shooting up. We just put in our tomatoes and peppers. Our blueberry bushes are budding beautifully. And of course our little herb garden is thriving.
It’s been a wonderful start to the growing season and we have had so much fun watching our plants change and grow. How are your garden’s going? Any new tips you have picked up this year?
PS: I just love the little herb garden markers from Monkeys Always Look. I treated myself to them last summer and I couldn’t wait to get them out this spring. I should add a few more to my collection this summer for our expanding herb collection.
