Lost & Fawned

I have given myself to the end of the week to purchase a lamp for the living room ceiling (where there is currently a big hole).  It just has to get done. It has to be a ceiling mount fixture (I wish we could hang a chanelier but it’s just not going to be proportionate with the size of the room).

I think I have narrowed it down to 2 shades, all from Schoolhouse Electric.  I know I like the Westmont fixture base in matte bronze.  It will coordinate with the rest of the ceiling fixtures throughout the house.  The problem comes in deciding on the right shade.

It’s down to this opal glass vintage inspired shade and the Aria etched shade.  I’m so torn between doing something really fun and lovely, or doing something that is classic.  Jared claims to like both.  And I love both.  What’s a girl to do?

So what do you think?  Which would you choose?

This weekend I got busy on my new bridal collection.  My goal is to design a collection of contemporary bridal jewelry and fun alternatives to traditional bridal jewelry.  I want them to be versatile enough that they are wearable after the big day or formal event.  I want them to be so versatile they even appeal to non-brides.

The first piece in the collection is the Charmaine Earring, currently available in turquoise and vintage alabaster.  They are so fun to wear.  The size is bold enough to make them feel special, but they are light and delicate enough that they don’t overwhelm your face.  The beads almost float around your face and the chain offers just the right amount for sparkle and edge.  They may be my favorite set of earrings I’ve ever put together.  Soon I’ll be offering them in more colors and natural stones.

Stay tuned for more new introductions from Lost & Fawned coming soon!  And as always, I am happy to do custom work.
