Lost & Fawned

I had to share just a few more things we picks up this weekend.  I still haven’t even finished sorting through all my bags and I need to decide what I’m keeping and what I’m going to find new homes for.

We were fascinated with a collection of vintage tools in the original boxes.  We took home quite a few, including this staple gun.  I’m really tempted to keep it, but we already have one, so we’ll see.

More vintage fabric for my collection.  Can’t wait to use these teeny tiny florals on some summer projects.  I also got a yard in green and some mid-century fabric with plum tones and metallic gold details.  Perfect for autumn.

Since I am not expert when it comes to vintage cameras, I know this Kodak kit will be ending up in my shop.  It looks to be in great condition, but I’m not sure how to get it in working order.  I’m hoping someone will take it home and put it to good use.  On the right is a “cutting blade” according to the envelope.  It was in the tool chest.  I’m not sure what it is for, but I thought the shape was cool.

A handful of antique kitchen tools ended up in our trunk.  I loved the primary colors on the handle of this mixer.  They will be in the shop soon.

And one of my other big finds was this set of mocha melmac bowls, cups and serving ware.  I think the color is like creamy hot chocolate and it’s in lovely condition.  We simply don’t have a place for it in our cupboards, but I know someone out there will love it and use it.  As soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew it had to leave with me.

There is so much more stuff.  I also got a vintage bulletin board map of the US, a pair of aqua thurmoses, a tiny antique razor, another vintage metal storage box (as if we needed another) and a lovely square mid-century ottoman I’ll be refinishing this summer for the office.  It’s nice to have room to store it all finally!  Now to find the time…
