This morning was the first morning it really felt like early winter to me. It was frosty, the radio kept playing christmas songs (which we would turn off) and the seat heaters in the car felt soooo nice. I felt inspired, so I put together a little treasury that feels like early winter here in Ohio. If you have a second, please stop by the treasury and give the sellers a pat on the back.
Here are some highlights…
25 Large Snowflake Die Cuts with French Type from 42things – $3.50
Moonlit Yurt Blank Notecards from Pinkbathtub – $5.50
Hand Embroidered Little Bird by Mary’s Granddaughter – $85
See all the other beautiful, wintery items in the treasury. Hope you are all bundled up this Monday!
OK, I know it’s not really a budget item, but it’s not wildly overpriced either. I just got my winter catalog from CB2 and I have fallen in love with the simplicity of their Double Decker Bed. When it comes to beds I prefer clean lines and simple textures. I like to add color and pattern through linens and pillows so it can be more easily changed to match current trends and my ever-changing taste.
As I said, at $599 for a queen sized bed it’s not outrageously priced (most furniture I’m drawn to tends to be on the pricey side) but it’s still not affordable for us right now. But I was thinking this bed may be a fairly easy DIY project for my handy husband. The construction doesn’t look overly complicated and the materials are simple. We don’t need another bed quite yet, but I figured I would file it here so I remember when we do have a 2nd bedroom.
