Wishlist: Out of Print Clothing

I love books.  You may have already picked up on that from other posts and my banner in the sidebar(my pledge to read the printed word), but I’ll state it very clearly now.  I also love the graphic design and art of vintage paperbacks. In an age when kindles are smart phones are trying replace booksellers and libraries, it’s unclear what the future holds for book covers and books in general.

This weekend I discovered Out of Print Clothing and I am truly smitten.  Out of Print sells women’s and men’s tees printed with blown up covers of iconic covers and your favorite classics.  They also donate a book to their partner Books for Africa for every shirt purchased in an attempt to make books available to anyone who wants them in every corner of the globe.

I purchased the Lord of the Flies tee for myself and have Atlas Shrugged and the Hounds of Baskervilles on my wishlist as well.  I can’t wait to see what covers they will offer next.
