I can’t wait for a fresh, full week next week. This whole short week thing has me all screwed up and behind. We have a ton of errands to run tomorrow. Need to go pick up a new piping foot (since mine is nowhere to be found), some bits and pieces for a new tutorial, veggies from my favorite local grocery store for a roast on Sunday and the library.
I MIGHT have found a part-time job. I’m stopping in tomorrow to take a peek. It would certainly make my blogging schedule a little different but Jared and I could use a little extra income to buffer our savings and maybe save up for a honeymoon.
Lots to do today! Getting ready for some new things for the blog and making ribs tonight before autumn is in full swing.

And of course, some links to get your weekend rolling:
I’m dying to pull out my boots. I of course adore my beautiful leather riding boots that have lasted for almost 5 years now. But last year Jared gave me a simple pair of men’s winter boots (similar to these, however mine are most certainly knock-offs) that I wear for daily errands and walking the dog. They are a little too big and they aren’t much to look at, but I pretty much lived in them all winter last year.
I just recently set my sight on these boot “slugs” by those Alaskan Girls on etsy and I feel like it’s one of those genius product ideas only a craft girl could pull off. They are an invention of necessity, as the brilliant minds behind the shop are from a rainy town in Alaska where almost everyone wears brown rain boots and they wanted a way to keep their socks up, seal the cold out and add some “pizazz” to their boots. I personally love their solid fleece slugs, plaid slugs and recycled sweater slugs. Check out their shop for the full collection and other cold weather goods.
