Lost & Fawned

I feel like making over my little office space to go with my fresh start here on the blog.  I need a beautiful and inspiring space to sit and write.  I’m currently blogging from our bedroom because my office is in such disarray.  This afternoon I’m going to start cleaning up and de-cluttering.  I want to go more minimal this time.  And warm for autumn.

I bought my Vika sawhorse table from Ikea back in college.  It was easy to take apart when I moved home and I loved the built-in light table for homework.  It has really served me well.  I don’t want to buy a new desk but I think it’s time it got a little face lift.  I would LOVE to get a new table top for it.  Maybe this glass top.  But right now I’m on a budget.  I have some dark walnut stain left from my mid-century stool project.  I’m thinking I’ll stain and finish the legs a dark, rick walnut to match my vintage sewing table.

Quick, cheap and easy.  Next, majorly de-clutter the top and add some vintage desk accessories.  I think it will be a good look.

It looks like I’m in a girly mood today.  I adore Leah Duncan‘s beautiful textiles and art.  Her sense of color it amazing and her designs and patterns are so soft an pretty.  Both Rose Dust and Golden Glow are in the color forecast for this autumn and she has both colors in abundance in her shop.

I would love to design a whole woman’s dressing room based around this feather pillow cover.  And this little print would be perfect for my fawn art collection.  Check out Leah’s shop for more beautiful and feminine goodies.
