Lost & Fawned

This weekend I realized it was move-in week at my alma mater, the Columbus College of Art & Design.  I’m now officially into my second year of post-college life but I still have fond memories of those first few weeks of school.  The best of all was the first day of Senior year.  You want to impress your new instructors, you get to see classmates you haven’t seen all summer and of course you want to look like this is all “old hat” to the new freshmen on campus.

If I could go back to that first year of senior year here is what I would have worn.  First things first, invest in a good bag you can use all year.  This is where I would spend my money.  I might treat myself to one new piece of statement jewelry I can carry through for gallery openings (I went to art school and as a senior all my Fine Arts classmates were having openings) and interviews.  Jeans, a button down and some oxfords on a budget.  Effortless, classic, a little edge from the jewelry and fit for a college budget (well a beginning of the year budget when you still have some cash from your summer job).

  1. Mixed Yarn Dye Shirt from Ann Taylor Loft – $49.50 (SALE 2nd top of 50% off)
  2. Bold Statement Multi-Chain Necklace from White Owl – $48
  3. 2-Tone Flap Tote from Infusion – $83
  4. Marlena Oxfords from Piperlime – $60
  5. The Diva Skinny Jeans from Old Navy – SALE $19

Best wishes to my college readers!  Hope you have a great year!
