Last night we were looking at bikes and I can’t wait to have a real garage so we can get a pair of bikes to cruise around on. However, if we had bikes as pretty as this his and hers pair from Schwinn, I would probably keep them in the house on display. I think they are perfectly styled and have a classic cruiser feel without being over the top (think Pee Wee Herman bike over the top). The stitched leather seats and handle bars are divine and the colors are just beautiful (I’m so glad they didn’t go with pink for the girl’s bike). At $399 a piece though, I don’t think we’ll be cruising on these any time soon but it’s fun to look and drool.
These are cute, they look a bit like the vintage Raleigh 3 speeds my dad just gave to my husband and I – they’re from 1955 and 1961, and they ride like a dream :)
It’s not as snazzy as the Schwinn, but Walmart has a really great deal on these very similar cruisers. They have a great retro look and the leather seat and handle bars reminded me of your post, so I just had to share. Looks like they are $75 shipped AND come with a $20 egift card? Not to shab… You could totally buy a cute basket with that :)
