Because I am on a domestic roll today (already made brownies, vacuumed the sofa, shook out the throw blankets, swept the kitchen and made shopping list) I had to feature one of my new favorite artists.
Vivienne Strauss creates amazing, original paper collages that are fascinating, beautiful and humorous. I am a huge fan of affordable art and make it reasonable for average art lovers to own a piece of beautiful original work.
I selected a couple that suited my current, busy, domestic mood. Wouldn’t one of these be so cute framed in a beautiful laundry room or mud room? Pictured are Cleaning House and Dirt Chaser. Be sure to check out her shop for more original collages and limited edition print.
I have ooh-ed and ahh-ed over Jadite forever now. Every time I see it in an antique mall I pick it up and admire it and pine over it only to put it down. Next time I see a piece that is moderately affordable I think I will call it fate and take it home. It will be the first piece of my collection.
