As much as I love Aubin & Willis, they are pretty out of my price range at this point in my life. However, they have a beautiful clearance selection chock full of goodies right now.
Some of my favorites:
I can’t help it. Raspberries are my favorite. Beautiful for a summer wedding or for your kitchen table.

I’m not usually a huge fan of Rainbow Cake. The unnaturally bright layers of cake are just a little too… unnatural for me to eat. When I spotted this cake on i am baker I was pleasantly surprised. The layers are colored by just a couple drops of food coloring and natural fruits. I think the colors are so much more beautiful and it’s probably so tasty. Simple syrup is brushed between each layer and the whole thing is covered in whipped cream so it’s perfectly light and summery.

I don’t wear a whole lot of sparkly jewelry. My engagement ring and wedding band everyday and perhaps a fun vintage rhinestone ring or earrings when I’m feeling fancy. But if I could pick out another piece of legit sparkly jewelry to add to my collection, I think it would be a gorgeous forest green sapphire like this one from Eidel Precious. I love all the shades of green it reflects. They remind me of my eye color, which is my favorite feature (thanks Mom).
*Sigh* I feel like such a girlie girl right now.
I adore Sarah McNeil‘s animal portraits. I think they are so charming and I love the way she totally capture’s their personalities and pride. Someday I would love to commission her to do a custom portrait of Logan for my office. I don’t know if it will happen, but it would be a lovely addition to my growing collection of original work.
We get to bring Logan home tomorrow and I’m in a significantly better mood. The vet says he is recovering beautifully, ate VERY well this morning and will be good as new. I can’t wait to have him back. Jared and I are headed to the local farmer’s market tomorrow and then plan to go hunt for new shop treasures.
A few links to get you through the rest of your Friday afternoon…
Take a gander at the dreamy, summery photography of hello gaby (where I found this adorable bicycle photo).
Check out the beautiful papercuts of Helen Musselwhite over at the Happy Heathen.
Make yourself a custom pillow sham from this pattern on Design*Sponge.
Preorder a glass “Tap is Terrific” water bottle and show your tap water pride.
See you next week! -Lindsey
Jared and I have major love for apron (or farmhouse) sinks right now. We want one for the kitchen (maybe the studio and bathroom too…). It will probably end up being our first real splurge for the new house. I think it can really change up the whole look of a kitchen.

I’m over a year out of school now. Worrying about the dog yesterday I distracted myself by looking at some photos from college. This polaroid of my res life staff members (and family) at our last staff dinner before I graduated particularly made me smile. That’s me in the front row, third from the right. *Sigh* I really need to get back to Columbus to visit. I miss everyone.
Well, I just got word Logan does need surgery and is going in right now for it. I’m worried, nervous and distracted. Around 4 we’ll be able to call for an update on how it went. I hope they can get it all out and he’ll be good as new.
No matter what we’ll be able to pay for his hospital bills, but I feel a little responsible for this mess. As you may know we are also looking to buy a house this fall and this hospital visit is certainly putting a dent in our savings. I’m hoping to pay for as much of the bill as possible through shop sales.
SO in both Lost & Fawned and Lost & Fawned HOME I’m having a “Name Your Price” sale. It’s easy! Convo me and name your price on any item. I will be accepting all reasonable offers that cover supplies, labor and a tiny extra. You know you can’t resist those big brown puppy eyes (wink wink).
Thanks for all the good wishes. I know it’s so silly, but Logan is my baby right now. I’ll be sure to let you know how he’s doing.
This is by no means a charity sale. This is an emergency sale to help our family stay on track to reach our goal of owning a home this fall. All sales this week are going toward Logan’s hospital bills.
I’m back, but only kind of. We should know within the hour if Logan will need surgery. I miss him like crazy, especially on these stormy days. It’s so lonely in the house without him following me around. Thinking of him scarred, sick and confused at the vet just breaks my heart. All I want for my birthday (July 1st) is to have him home and healthy.
I’m clearly pretty down today but will try to sneak a post or two in. I’m working today to dog proof my office and our apartment so our “garbage disposal” (aka Logan) doesn’t end up in the hospital again.
Just wanted to share another photo of flowers from my Grandma’s garden. She also sent us home with some beautiful green hellebores that I put in the little vintage bud vases near the window. The light passing through them was just beautiful.
