This summer we switched out to all organic cotton sheets and I don’t know how I’ll ever go back. Our bed is so soft and comfortable right now, it’s hard to get yourself out of it in the morning. Changing from high contrast black sheets to a lighter, softer sheet made a HUGE difference. It feels much more like a grown up bed now.
Totally random post day, but here are two more pieces that I ordered frames for (as I mentioned here). The first one is an 8×10 from Oh My Cavalier! by Julianna Swaney. And the second it the print of Spiderman #1 I purchased for Jared for his birthday (it’s large!). I’m pretty excited. I know these will all look fantastic once they are framed and in a place. The Spiderman is intended for Jared’s future office.
Awhile back I purchased this custom feather piece from Putnam Court by Kristen Finkas. Right now it’s on an easel in my studio and I decided today was the day to bite the bullet and order frames. I found a barnwood frame in the right size and ordered it for this piece as well as a vintage Spiderman #1 print I bought for Jared’s birthday last year. I can’t wait for them to get here. I will feel good knowing these pieces are protected and displayed properly. And I will of course post photos.
Jared and I are pretty smitten with this wall in Sean Woolsey‘s studio made of salvaged wood. We would love to try to do something similar on a larger scale in a future home. I think it would be so gorgeous in shades of brown and gray stains (though the colors are beautiful too). Filing this under our “someday when we own a house” project file.
I think I could spend days in this shop. Reminds me of some rooms in Powells or the Book Loft, my two favorite book shops. Maybe it’s time to start a new book.
