Lost & Fawned

So here it is… The last batch of 10 things.

  1. A cheap 8.5 x 11″ portfolio. I got this my freshman year for a panel review to hold my resume and letters of recommendation.  I’ll never use it again.
  2. Cereal Boxes. We went through the pantry this weekend and pulled out all the cereal that were almost empty or stale.  I’m not really throwing these out since I use the chip board to make tags for my jewelry.
  3. A travel jewelry box. I will never use it.  It’s been housing old jewelry (see #4).  Donated.
  4. Old Jewelry. I’m still not sure if I’m going to donate this or try to consign these.  They are really good pieces of jewelry, they are just not my style anymore.
  5. An expensive coat. This coat was a gift and I really tried to like it.  It’s by a good brand and is very nice, but the color was never “me”.  I really did try.  I might try to consign this too.
  6. A cheap puffy vest. Bought this in college and I actually did wear it quite a bit.  I don’t anymore though and don’t need it.  Donated.
  7. Target picture frame. Another frame from my dorm room.  It was cute in college but just sits in a box now.  Donated.
  8. Old business cards and discount cards. I cleaned out the bowl on my desk that holds all my business cards.  Took out all the doubles and discount cards I’ll never use.
  9. Winter nail polish. I won’t wear this again until it’s dried out.  Trash.
  10. Cheap winter coat. Another college purchase I actually did wear a lot.  Doesn’t suit my current lifestyle and I just have too many coats.  Donated.

So that’s it.  Jared has 9 things ready to go.  He just needs to pick out one more thing and I’ll post his 10.  He’s done a pretty good job despite his “I don’t have anything I don’t need” claim (somewhere Jared is reading this rolling his eyes, I’m sure).

This felt good and I have a nice sizable pile of things to go to good will sitting in the corner of the dining room.  We’ll drop that off later this week.  I’m going to research a consignment store for some of these things.  Once it is all out of the house I think it will really set in.

Thanks to the wonderful Deidra of Hinterland Vintage I discovered my little vintage white acrylic tassel necklace is in the etsy finds today!  Love the soft all white collection of summery fashion, housewares and accessories.  And maybe my necklace will find a home at last!  Cool thing about this necklace is the design allows for the tassel to be removed and replaced with whatever you want, whenever you want!  Check out all the gorgeous whites in White Light, White Heat.

Thanks for letting me know Deidra!  You’re the best!

I can’t decide which of these I prefer.  Both of them fit us, but some weekends we go estate sale crazy and some we spend the whole weekend in bed.  Can we have both?  And switch them out every week depending on our mood?

Regardless, these lovely prints are by Ashley G and Drew out of Portland.  Check out their beautiful shop or website for more adorable illustrations and prints.

(Ag!  I just found THIS ONE that also sums up our occasional weekend philosophy…  How do you choose?!)
